From North West London, Scott studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He graduated in 2014 with a First-Class Honours degree and two scholarship awards under his belt, picking up the Humphrey Lyttelton Award In 2013 and a Yamaha Jazz Scholar Prize the following year. Just six months later he made his West End debut at the Apollo Victoria Theatre with hit musical Wicked before joining the show’s successful UK tour for its final six months.
Twice a finalist in Young Drummer of the Year, Scott was playing professionally at the age of sixteen, gaining valuable performing experience with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra at venues from Ronnie Scott’s to the Royal Albert Hall, the latter for a BBC Proms broadcast.
Aside from his recent theatre work, he is involved in a select number of original instrumental projects within London’s improvised music scene, amongst a variety of other live and studio work.
Scott is delighted to be a part of Close To You.
