Dave trained at Mountview Theatre School in Technical Theatre, Stage Management and Design. He began his West-End career in Stage Management on Miss Saigon, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London. When the show closed in 1999, Dave made his first move into Theatre Administration.
He became Production Co-ordinator at Cole Kitchenn Ltd, looking after shows including A Saint She Ain’t, Last of the Mohicans, Notre Dame De Paris and Lautrec. In 2001, Dave returned to live theatre and took up successive positions of Company Manager for Disney’s The Lion King, Lyceum Theatre, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Woman in White, Palace Theatre, the first National UK Tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the new West-End production of Grease, Piccadilly Theatre.
In 2008, Dave became General Manager for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK) Ltd looking after the new National UK Tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Following this, Dave was General Manager for Chariots of Fire On Stage – Gielgud Theatre, ONCE The Musical – Phoenix Theatre and Strangers on a Train – Gielgud Theatre. In addition, he has been Associate Producer/General Manager for productions of Monkee Business – Manchester, Peter Pan – Dublin, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and Aladdin – A Wish Come True at The O2. Dave is now Associate General Manager on the West-End Production of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Aldwych Theatre, General Manager for Irving Street Productions Ltd and in addition, has several projects of his own in development for 2016.
